Brookmeyer Does It Again

Bob Brookmeyer's new Big band CD; Spirit Music is now available! It is evidence of what happens when an experienced, discerning, restlessly creative, soulful musician writes for group he knows and loves... beauty. I know of no better example of how to lead your trombone-playing-composing life than this. Purchase. Use handy link. Dig. Deep.

Pittsburgh Collective Live in NYC!

Good people,
I would like to highly recommend this event! This music is unlike anything else I know of and it embraces trombones with love! David Sanford is an old college buddy of mine (excellent bass trombonist) who is deservedly having success as a composer. Check it out!
